As a carer, you play a vital role during a hospital stay. You know the person better than anyone and can share important information with the medical team about their needs, preferences, and routines.
Hospital staff should recognise you as a carer and include you in discussions about treatment and care plans. If this is not happening, ask to speak to the ward manager or the hospital's carer liaison.
